I just searched the archives here and didn't notice anything on it so I thought I'd raise the issue of video on the Tungstens:
One of the reasons I've held onto my T3 for nearly 5 years is because of its excellent video capabilities. In fact, I just picked up another one for my wife on craigslist for $50 to replace her aging T2 (which was giving her screen problems).
The 400 MHz Intel processor and 320x480 screen are perfect for watching videos. I find I have little time to watch my favorite TV shows, movies or the News so I record them on my desktop PVR in MPEG video and then transfer them to a 1 or 2MB SD card. (See my last post about using 2MB cards). Then, during commuting, lineups or other breaks, I catch up. For long trips in the car, I even record my son's favorite cartoons and Discovery Channel shows to keep him busy.
I've done some experimenting with various media players and the best by far is the open source (free) The Core Pocket Media Player or TCPMP, for short. http://snipurl.com/lbitb With all the free plugins, it literally plays any video format out there. I highly recommend it.
I understand the T5 and E have better processors as well but personally, my fav is still the T3 because it's compatible with all the cradles, keyboards, cases, etc. that I've accumulated over the years from other Palms I've owned. For that reason alone, the T3 is excellent value in a PDA. Add the video capabilities and wide screen and the T3 gets my vote as the best Palm ever produced.
